East County Junior Competitions 2026
Cambridge City U14 Boys produced a superb performance to be crowned national Supra League champions, completing an outstanding campaign and giving East hockey and Cambridgeshire hockey a great deal to be proud of.
The team showed excellent skill, composure and togetherness throughout the competition. They came through a very tough group to top their pool, including strong opposition from Chester, Isca and last year’s champions Wimbledon, before carrying that momentum into the knockout stages.
In a fiercely contested final against Repton last weekend, Cambridge City showed real resilience and character. The match remained tight throughout normal time, with the team defending bravely and creating chances at the other end, before the title was decided in a shoot-out.
Throughout the competition the squad’s defensive discipline, tireless work rate and attacking intent were all key to the success, but above all it was a collective triumph built on unity and belief.
