Your Essential Guides for the 2025/2026 Season

As we head into the new season, we're committed to ensuring you have the resources and support needed for a successful year on the pitch. We've developed two key documents to help you feel confident and prepared.
Officiating 2025/2026 Guidance Document
The EHO has released its updated officiating guidance for the 2025/2026 season. This guidance includes important changes and reminders on topics like starting penalty corners on the whistle, the use of face masks, aerial ball rules, the new Transgender & Non-Binary Participation Policy, and safeguarding responsibilities.
We encourage all officials to review the full document to ensure you're prepared for the season ahead.
England Hockey Officiating Get Season Ready Guide
The England Hockey Officiating Get Season Ready Guide is your go-to resource for valuable information and support. We encourage you to share this guide with fellow officials at your club to help everyone grow and improve together.
Safeguarding Awareness Module: A Key Resource for Officials
As an umpire or technical official, your role goes beyond managing the game – you also help create a safe, positive environment for everyone, especially young people and vulnerable adults.
To support this, we are asking all officials to complete the free online Safeguarding Awareness module available via Hockey Hub.
Further information about the Safeguarding Awareness module can be found here, and you can complete the learning at any time by logging into your Hockey Hub account.
